People are upset that Donald Trump isn't honouring the US-UK relationship, according to a former chair of Republicans Overseas.

Donald Trump has said that Nigel Farage would make a great British Ambassador to the US. However Downing Street have said they have "no vacancy" for Farage.

Jan Halper-Hayes told Julia Hartley-Brewer that “Trump values loyalty and fairness above all" and so favours Nigel Farage for this as he "was over there and coaching him" for the debates.

She believes he was just "making a very strong suggestion on behalf of his friend." She added that what the public are upset about "is the fact that Donald isn’t honouring" the "US-UK special relationship." Trump "is going to do what he thinks is right."
