Piers pressure: Morgan found himself up before Judge Jake

Monday, June 6, 2016

Another day, another trial. 'In The Dock' on Monday is Piers Morgan, facing the serious and harrowing experience of being tried by judge Jake Yapp.

The charges faced by the TV presenter were "blatant and shameless cockiness", after he claimed on Twitter that the late Muhammad Ali said "more inflammatory/racist things about white people than Donald Trump ever has about Muslims".

Morgan later appeared to try to justify his remarks during an interview with barrister Miranda Brawn, vice-chair of Black Cultural Archives, on today's Good Morning Britain. But his tweet had already drawn fire from the vast world of the internet - notably singer John Legend and his wife Chrissy Teigen.

With producer Cass acting as the prosecution, and 'paid intern' Cornelius as defence, with Judge Jake overseeing proceedings, this explosive trial got underway.
