A “mass brawl” allegedly broke out on a dance floor during a black tie dinner attended by golf club members in Cornwall.
The alleged incident took place at the Tregenna Castle Hotel where West Cornwall Golf Club was holding its annual dance, according to The Metro.
It is thought around 60 to 100 people were present at the event, when both the police and ambulance service were sent to the scene.
Reports claim several people were injured, including a police officer. Officers also arrested two people and a woman has now been charged with assault and criminal damage.
The 22-year-old is to appear before magistrates later this month. A 27-year-old man was also released as investigations continue.
Singer Leon Kendall-Brown attended the event with his band and claimed he had "never seen anything like it."
He alleged that he noticed two men arguing and then several others joined in, resulting in one person being pinned to the floor.
Kendall-Brown said: "Security arrived and it spilled outside. There was screaming and shouting. The police were there pretty quickly."
The hotel has claimed the brawl was an "isolated incident" but praised the "efficient and professional" response of both security and staff.
The golf club has also given a statement on the incident, saying: "We are greatly saddened that the club has been associated with the scene there." It also said that it would investigate the incident "through our normal procedures."
