A Chertsey woman described as a "predatory paedophile" has been jailed for six years for grooming and sexually abusing two boys.

Sophie Hiley, 22, of Grove Road, appeared at Kingston Crown Court on Wednesday September 20, where she was found guilty of three counts of sexual activity with a boy and one count of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child under the age of 16.

An extensive investigation carried out by Surrey Police Child Sexual Exploitation Team in March 2017 uncovered that Hiley had been exploiting two young teenage boys by inviting them to her house, plying them with alcohol and drugs before engaging them in sexual activity whilst others watched.

Detective constable Julia Thomas, who led the investigation, said: “Hiley is a manipulative predatory paedophile that has engaged in the systematic abuse of two children that she had access to over a prolonged period.

“Her offending has had a profoundly devastating impact on not only her victims’ lives, but also those of their families, who are currently receiving ongoing support.”

Surrey Police has urged anyone who has any concerns that a child may be being groomed to report their suspicions immediately.
