Prince Harry and Prince William have spoken out about how they coped with the grief over losing their mother, as well as the role their father played in the wake of her death.
Diana, Princess of Wales, died in a car accident in Paris in August 1997.
The two princes were on holiday in the royal residence of Balmoral at the time, and Prince Harry revealed how their father broke the news to them, praising him for the way in which it was done.
The prince said Charles had been there for him and his brother, saying he tried to do his best to ensure they were “protected.”
The princes have been speaking candidly about the death of their mother in the run-up to the 20-year anniversary of the events in Paris.
The interview with the princes can be seen in a documentary called Diana, 7 Days, which is to air on Sunday to chronicle the days after the Princess’s death.
