Anti-Brexit group Led By Donkeys has created a rival website for the ‘March to Leave’ – which encourages Brexiteers to march from Sunderland to London in support of Brexit.

While the March to Leave website is registered as a “.com” domain, Led By Donkeys have created an alternative website at “marchforleave.co.uk” to set a new route for Nigel Farage.

The satirical website pokes fun at the leading Brexiteer saying their route “will be walking from Bexhill to Ramsgate via the various constituencies where Nigel failed to wholly overwhelm the total vote count of the eventual winning candidate”.

They added: “Upon his arrival in Ramsgate he will emigrate. Hundreds of people will cheer him along the way.”

A number of Brexit-supporting figures are named by Led By Donkeys to be joining Mr Farage on the march including Leave.EU’s Arron Banks and former chief advisor Steve Bannon.

The official March to Leave will cover more than 260 miles beginning in Sunderland on Saturday 16 March, ending in Parliament Square on March 29 –when the UK will leave the European Union.

Led By Donkeys has also raised over £19,000 to put quotes from Nigel Farage on the side of two advertising vans to follow as the marchers walk from Sunderland to London.

On the crowdfunding page, the group wrote: “We want to accompany this march with two advertising vans for the whole route.

“These digital billboards will be everywhere the marchers go, reminding them of the lies and hypocrisy of Nigel Farage.”

They added: “In true Farage style, he is pretending that this march will be a protest of ordinary people against the elites.

“But we know that’s garbage.”
