Qatar has announced a full resumation of diplomatic relations with Iran amid the backdrop of an ongoing crisis in the Gulf.
Currently in the Persian Gulf, five countries - Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates - cut ties with Doha over claims it was bolstering instability in the region.
Now, the Qatari Foreign Ministry has announced its ambassador to Iran will return to work with the government in Tehran.
The minister expressed a desire to fortify "bilateral relations" with Iran in all areas, and it's thought this will include discussion over the largest natural gas field in the world.
The renewal of the relationships comes after a tough few months for the government in Doha.
