Donald Trump visited Saudi Arabia

The real reason that Donald Trump visited Saudi Arabia was money, as the Saudis want to complete a deal and might invest in the US economy.

That's according to US politics and international relations professor Scott Lucas, who made the comments after Trump made a speech in the country calling on leaders to combat extremism. He has now travelled to Israel.

Lucas told Julia Hartley-Brewer that Trump was clearly most comfortable when talking about the economy, and struggled more when speaking about wider issues.

He believes the President won't bring peace to Israel and Palestine because he doesn't have a good grasp of the issues, but the visit was laid out to show him as a strong leader.

The professor thinks the administration is now less about policy, and more about where Trump is seen and what he says.
