Robert Mueller leading the Russia investigation is good news for Donald Trump as it will allow him to get on with his job, according to a former advisor.
The former FBI chief, who guided the bureau in the aftermath of 9/11, has been appointed to investigate Donald Trump's ties with Russia and whether the country influenced the election campaign.
Ted Malloch, who advised Trump during his election campaign, told Julia Hartley-Brewer that because Mueller is respected by Republicans and Democrats this decision is a win for both sides, as it takes the investigation away from party politics.
He believes the administration should look favourably on this as Trump can now get on with Presidential work.
Malloch also thinks the investigation could uncover who released information about Trump's administration to the press and they could be prosecuted.
