A man has been sentenced to 19 years in prison for online grooming offences against children in the UK and Ireland.
Christian Ciprian Nae was initially sentenced in March in his home country of Romania. An appeal had been lodged against the sentence, but it has been rejected.
A joint investigation by Surrey Police, the National Crime Agency and Romanian authorities into Nae began in 2015.
His first victim was found in Surrey, but as the investigation continued they found another 9 victims in the UK and Ireland, Surrey Police said.
Nae conducted the crime in Romania and used a gaming website in order to contact the children. After talking to them he would then try and make them take part in sexual activities.
His victims were aged between 8 and 12 years old.
Detective Constable Paul Harris, the investigating officer said: "The fact that the sentence has been upheld demonstrates the gravity of these offences.
"I hope that the outcome provides some consolation to his victims.
"By one individual coming forward in this case, we were able to uncover several connected victims, so if you’re concerned please report it to us.”
