Roxanne Pallett will not return to her job as presenter of the breakfast show on Minster FM after the Ryan Thomas punch row on Celebrity Big Brother.
A statement from the radio station said: "As a result of discussions today with her representatives, Minster FM can confirm that Roxanne Pallett has stepped down from her position at the station with immediate effect to take some time out and reflect on recent events.
"Roxanne will not be returning to Minster FM."
Bridget Davies, managing director at Minster FM, said: "We are very close to our audience and our customers, and it's been alien to us to not be able to honestly communicate with them.
"It's been very difficult not to be able to tell them what's been going on in here at the station.
"As you know, Roxanne was in the Big Brother house and was uncontactable until today, because we've been unable to speak to her until today we've been unable to issue a statement.
"However, following a meeting today we can confirm Roxanne will not be returning to Minster FM and as she said to Emma (Willis) last night, she was going to take some time to reflect and address some issues, (we) hope that goes well and she gets the help and support she needs."

Pallett, who accused former Coronation Street actor Thomas of punching her in the house, has since said she “massively apologise[s] to Ryan” and told Celebrity Big Brother host Willis on Monday that although she now thinks she overreacted, she believed at the time that her behaviour was justified.
“That’s quite worrying, Roxanne,” responded Willis.
Pallett referred to herself as “the most hated girl in Britain right now” and added: “All I can say is I’m devastated and I’m sorry.”
Her behaviour towards Thomas drew over 11,000 Ofcom complaints.
'Ryan was trying to bond with her'

On Sunday, Thomas’s brother Scott joined Dan Wootton and Dr Linda Papadopoulos on Dan’s Dilemmas, and said the incident had been “heartbreaking”.
“As a family it’s been heartbreaking to watch. I was in tears and so was the rest of my family,” he said.
“We all know on the outside what actually happened. The most frustrating thing is, it was Ryan trying to show some affection to Roxanne. He was trying to bond with her, put a bit of an olive branch out.”
He claimed that Pallett was “known in the industry” for certain behaviours.
“Basically, we all knew Roxanne from years ago, she used to go out with one of our pals,” he explained.
“It’s not necessarily about the relationship [with their friend], it’s just in terms of what Roxanne’s known for in the industry. Ryan went in knowing she’s known for this and that, but he didn’t want to judge her, he wanted to have a fresh slate in the house.”
Thomas’s girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburgh was upset by the events, he said.
“Lucy’s been in bits. She just wanted to get him out, she’s supported him through the whole process.”
Mecklenburgh tweeted a selfie of her and Thomas on Sunday, thanking fans for their support.
