Tuesday, May 7, 2019

Congratulations have flooded in from around the world after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed a baby son yesterday.

A name has not yet been announced, but according to William Hill, Alexander and Arthur are the most likely choices, at 4/1 and 5/1 respectively.

In at third is James at 6/1, followed by Spencer - a nod to Prince Harry's mother Lady Diana Spencer - with odds of 9/1.

An unusual name on the list is Grey at 20/1, which was mentioned by Meghan Markle in her lifestyle blog The Tig, as one of her favourite names for a boy or a girl.

The 7Ibs and 3oz baby will be seventh in line to the throne, and is believed to be the first mixed-race child born to a senior member of the royal family in centuries.

Asked about a name for his son, Prince Harry said on Monday: "Still thinking about names. The baby is a little bit overdue, so we've had a little bit of time to think about it."
