Ryanair's hardcore customers won't be put off by the airline's current problems, according to a leading travel writer.

The budget airline has been forced to entirely drop 34 routes from its winter schedule, and around 400,000 passengers have been affected to date.

But Frank Brehany told Julia Hartley-Brewer that he has asked regular Ryanair users "is this going to put you off?" and "the blunt answer was no, because they enjoy the price and the flexibility."

Brehany did, however, say Ryanair may have to "rebrand and do all sorts of things in order to recover their market share" if it doesn't "get a grip and follow the very robust position offered by the CAA."
