Salman Abedi's younger brother Hashem Abedi has been arrested in Libya.

The man was arrested in Tripoli on suspicion of links with Islamic State, according to a local counter-terrorism force called Rada, The Daily Express reported.

Spokesman Ahmed Bin Salem told Reuters that the man was arrested on Tuesday evening (May 23).

On Monday night (May 22) Salman Abedi attacked the Manchester Arena, killing at least 22 people.

His father has claimed that he is innocent and said “We don't believe in killing innocents. This is not us.”

A 23-year-old man said to also be one of Salman Abedi's brothers was arrested on Tuesday morning (May 22) in South Manchester.

Greater Manchester Chief Constable Ian Hopkins has said it is clear that a network is being investigated in relation to the attack.
