A post-mortem examination has found the victim of Sunday's terror attack in Finsbury Park died from “multiple injuries.”

Scotland Yard has named the victim as 51-year-old Makram Ali, who is survived by his four daughters, two sons, and two grandchildren.

He was reportedly a recognisable face around Finsbury Park, a regular in cafes in the area as well as places of worship.

Those present at the scene of Monday’s attack said Ali had appeared to suffer a sort of medical episode just prior to the incident.

Ali's family have released a statement to say he was a “quiet and gentle man” who didn’t involve himself in “political or social discussion”, preferring to spend time with his family.

One man has been arrested in connection with the incident on Monday.
