Scottish Labour leader Kezia Dugdale has explained her proposal for a "new Act of Union" on Sam Delaney's show, saying she wants to counter the sort of nationalism propounded by the SNP.

Dugdale wants a "federal solution" for the UK when power comes back to us from the European Union. This would mean extra powers for English regions and the Scottish Government in Holyrood.

Dugdale told talkRADIO that, in light of Brexit, "if we’re not very careful we’re going to see a politics across the UK that’s obsessed with nationalism."

She continued by saying there has not been "a single bit of evidence" that Scotland can have a separate relationship with Europe from the rest of the UK.

"Good faith and blind faith aren't enough any more, we need hard facts" she concluded.
