Seven journalists are claiming they were assaulted by members of a cartel in Mexico.
The group, comprised of Mexican journalists and international press colleagues, were working in Tierra Caliente, in Guerrero state, reporting on how federal forces were dealing with kidnapping and extortion perpetrated by cartels.
It was at this point they reportedly came under attack from a huge mob of 100 masked people.
A spokesman for Guerrero security services claimed they belonged to a cartel called La Familia Michoacana.
The attackers made off with the vehicle the journalists were using, which contained all of their equipment.
The group remained unharmed by the events.
