Sir Ed Davey MP has revealed he "agrees with President Trump" that 800 ISIS fighters from EU countries should be brought home to face trial.
The Liberal Democrat's home affairs spokesman said he thought the US President "normally talks rubbish", but on the issue of bringing back captured ISIS fighters, he "might actually agree".
"I don't think I've ever said this, but I think I might actually agree with President Trump," the MP told talkRADIO's Penny Smith on the breakfast show. "Normally I think he talks rubbish but we may have come to the same conclusion for different reasons."

He continued: "People should face justice if they've done something wrong. I don't think it is helpful if people are left stateless. I think it makes them into martyrs."
In a tweet, Donald Trump urged EU countries to take back the 800 fighters captured in Syria by US-backed forces.
"Engaging with the problem, understanding it, is a lot better than just saying right, I'm going to lock you away and forget you," Sir Ed said.
"We need to make sure that anyone returning here, people who were born here, why do they get radicalised? We've got to stop that."
