Steve Coogan has shared details of the experience of being punched by Richard Gere.
The actor and comedian is in 'The Dinner', where he and Gere - as brothers - meet up for a meal where they discuss how to handle a crime their teenage sons committed.
While Coogan said the Pretty Woman mega-star made him feel "comfortable", he also said Gere got "revenge" for comments made by him in The Trip.
He said: "He was very kind, made me feel at home.
"But there was a slight kind of awkwardness because there is a scene where he's supposed to beat me up because I do something reprehensible to his son.
"I was supposed to dummy a punch, and I didn't do it quick enough, so he punched me very hard. I got a black eye, a proper black eye.
"Laura Linney had spoken to Richard, and she'd seen a clip from The Trip where I took the mickey out of Richard's acting.
"So he came over and joked by whispering in my ear 'that's for taking the mick out of me'."
