The Plymouth University Conservative society have come under fire after a picture surfaced of the group sporting Hitler-style moustaches and blue t-shirts scribbled with graffiti including 'F*** the NHS'.

In the picture, which was uploaded to Facebook, one student has a drawn-on Hitler-style moustache, while another is wearing a t-shirt featuring the words 'F*** the NHS'.

One of the students has the words 'Enoch' written on their shirt, along with a Star of David and the word 'Jude' - German for Jew, with another wearing a shirt with 'Blair was right' scrawled on the sleeve.

The Conservative party have launched an investigation into the photo and have said that any of its members identified in the photo will be suspended.

In a statement, Plymouth University said: "The university does not tolerate anti-Semitic or racist behaviour under any circumstance and will take disciplinary action in line with our procedures in the event of incidents such as this.”

The university's students' union has also suspended the society pending an investigation.

The image has been condemned by fellow students, with one calling the photo "outrageous".
