A secondary school teacher who also helped police grade indecent images of children has been jailed for two years after molesting a six-year-old.
The former special sergeant, Craig Keane, was caught when another child secretly filmed him abusing a boy, according to Court News UK.
The child who filmed the incident said to the camera, "I always thought he was creepy and now I don’t feel safe in my house."
Keane was at the child's house because he was visiting his father in October last year.
He had told the victim's father that he was going upstairs to use the bathroom, but instead made several trips to the bedroom where his victim was sleeping over a 90-minute period, according to Essex Live.
Before abusing his victim he firstly checked that other children in the room were asleep too, believing that the child with the camera was.
However one of the children left the camera running before he went to sleep, and showed his parents the footage of the attacks the next day.
Prosecutors said the man entered the room a total of 14 times, touching his victim non nine occasions.
Keane claimed he did not remember the incidents as he had been drinking a lot of alcohol on that night.
However the man still admitted to nine counts of of sexual assault on a child aged under 13. He will remain on the sex offender register for 10 years.
