A teenager has been charged with terrorism offences after she allegedly communicated with an Islamic State fighter in Syria and arranged to take possession of weapons.
The charge follows an investigation conducted by the Counter Terrorism Command within the Metropolitan Police.
The 17-year-old is alleged to have arranged for the shipment of weapons to conduct an attack in the UK, as well as receiving instructions on how to use them.
She’s also believed to have asked for help in building a plan, contrary to the Terrorism Act 2006.
The teenager was been remanded in custody and will appear before Westminster Magistrates Court later on Wednesday.
