A pedestrian has been killed after a man drove a van into a crowd leaving a mosque in Finsbury Park.

The attack on Seven Sisters Road came at around 12:20am on Monday morning. The perpetrator, reportedly a white man, shouted “kill me, kill me, I’m going to kill all Muslims.”

Members of the public detained the 48-year-old man until the police arrived, when he was arrested in connection with the incident.

Video footage of the incident posted online in the aftermath of the van attack showed numerous people attempting to help the injured.

Bloodstains could be seen on the pavement amid the sounds of people screaming.

Other footage showed a man attempting to administer CPR as another treated a head injury.

In the wake of the incident, eight people have been taken to hospital while another two were treated at the scene.

The incident has been treated as a terror attack.
