Theresa May tonight dashed to a lavish dinner with millionaire Tory donors interrupting her last ditch tour to rescue the government's Brexit deal.

The Prime Minister left Belfast after meeting Northern Irish politicians this afternoon and is due to resume talks with EU leaders in Brussels tomorrow.

But she raced back to London to attend a secretive dinner for megabucks Tory donors.

The Conservative's Black and White Ball is being held tonight at a luxury event space in West London.

talkRADIO understands Mrs May addressed the room tonight as attendees began dinner.

'Rethink her priorities'

Ian Lavery MP, Labour Party Chair, told talkRADIO: “It's unbelievable that rather than focusing on sorting out the mess she and her party have made of Brexit, the Prime Minister appears to have jetted back to spend a lavish evening with super rich donors.

“The Tories need to rethink their priorities and start acting in the public's interest instead of just their party's."

The Prime Minister and other senior ministers regularly fly on jets provided by the Royal Air Force.

Tonight's lavish party sees millionaires pay to rub shoulders with Cabinet ministers and splurge thousands on bizarre auction prizes.

Last year an unnamed donor paid more than £50,000 to spend the day with Theresa May.

In previous years super-wealthy businessmen have paid £15,000 for a table at the ultimate black tie display of Tory wealth.

The event was reported to be in difficulty last month as several prominent donors refused to hand over cash in protest at Mrs May's handling of Brexit.

Tickets for the event begin at £500, but have reportedly been slashed for a second year running.
