Labour MP Steve McCabe has blasted Theresa May for "pulling the plug" and calling an election after triggering the Brexit negotiations.
The Prime Minister called for an election to strengthen her Government's Brexit mandate on Monday.
Labour Party figureheads like John McDonnell have expressed confidence ahead of the upcoming election, and Jeremy Corbyn has said he welcomes the chance to take on Theresa May and the Conservative Party.
Steve McCabe, MP for Birmingham Selly Oak, said the Prime Minister called the election because she "doesn't know what to do next."
In an interview with Julia Hartley-Brewer, he claimed the motion was a "smokescreen" to cover this.
