Theresa May is expected to announce a “return to council house-building” when she gives her speech to the Conservative Party Conference in Manchester.
The Prime Minister, in a clear attempt to woo young voters away from Jeremy Corbyn in Labour, is expected to outline a series of measures to facilitate the creation of more houses and flats.
In the address, it is believed she will also call for Tory infighting to stop.
She is expected to chide them about obsessing on the party leadership, and implore them to focus on working for the voters.
Damian Green, her close ally, told ITV’s Good Morning Britain the speech will be more personal than before.
He told the ITV programme she will be explaining what makes her so determined to fight for what she believes to be right for the country.
