Nestle has announced a plan to move the production of the Blue Riband chocolate biscuit from the UK to Poland, causing a mixed reaction from the public.
The move will result in roughly 300 job losses, mainly in Newcastle and York, according to The Independent.
Unite union and the GMB have criticised Nestle for the proposed plans. Nestle, in an attempt to placate the critics, has said it will hold a 45-day consultation on the matter.
The move has caused a mixed reaction on Twitter, whilst some blame Brexit for the news and call for a boycott, others are surprised the wafer biscuit is still being made.
