The Met Office has warned those in Scotland, the north of England and Northern Ireland that Storm Barbara is on its way for Christmas.
Gusts of up to 90mph could wreak havoc, as forecasters have predicted that power supplies could be hit, bridges may close and ferries may be delayed.
Northern and western Scotland are expected to be the worst affected overnight on Friday, with an amber warning over Scotland.
However, despite people's concern that the storm could affect Christmas, many believe the name Storm Barbara makes it sound less threatening.
Some have even likened the storm to their mother-in-laws visiting.
