An Australian court has heard how a woman suffered more than 80 injures including severe head trauma when she plunged 14 floors to her death from her Tinder date's balcony.
Gable Tostee is on trial for the murder of Warriena Wright after she became locked out on his balcony after allegedly begging to leave. She reportedly tried to escape by attempting to lower herself off the edge out of fear - falling to her death instead.
Wright, a New Zealander who had been on holiday in Surfers' Paradise on Australia's east coast, met 30-year-old Tostee through the dating app in August 2014.
After she went back to his apartment, the date allegedly turned violent, with an audio recording of angry shouting and swearing played out to the court. In the recording, Tostee can apparently be heard complaining of Wright beating him up before calling her a "psycho b****".
Tostee has entered a not guilty plea, and the trial continues.
