A US talkshow host has given us the latest revelations regarding the 'house of horrors' scandal which has sent shockwaves across America.
Blanquita Cullum said the case was "like Jack the Ripper," and told Julia Hartley-Brewer
David and Louise Turpin have both appeared in court, accused of holding their 13 children in shackles at their California home.
The couple face charges of torture, abuse and false imprisonment. They deny the charges, despite the mountain of evidence found at their home.
Cullum, citing the latest court proceedings, told us that the Turpins allegedly forced their children to sleep during the day to ensure they made no noise, making them live nocturnal lifestyles to perpetuate the horror.
It is also claimed they fed the children once a day, and allowed them to have a bath twice a year. Prosecutors have said the children were tortured for certain offences, and kept in shackles to stop them fleeing.
Julia, a mother herself, said the idea of a parent treating their child in this way "blows me away."
