'Two dead' after shooting at UPS facility in San Francisco

A mass shooting has taken place in San Francisco this afternoon, leaving at least two people reportedly dead.

Five people were reportedly shot in the incident at the UPS warehouse and distribution centre in the Potrero Hill area on 320 San Bruno avenue.

The incident took place around 9am local time, although the specific circumstances are still emerging.

USA Today reports that an unidentified person is in custody after the incident. The attacker has been named by some outlets as a UPS driver.

The area has been placed in lockdown and officers are advising people to avoid the area. UPS officers were seen being led out by officers, next to a highway.
