Merseyside Police detectives have launched a murder investigation and arrested two men on suspicion of murder after the body of a 17-year-old boy was found in Speke.

The body of the teenager, identified as Brandon Regan, was found in a garden yesterday (Monday January 29).

The two men arrested are aged 31 and 32, and both from the Speke area. Both men have been taken to a police station for questioning by detectives. 

The discovery of Brandon's body caused emergency services to scramble to the area, with police Matrix vans, sniffer dogs and scientific support vehicles all sent to the scene.

Brandon's of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. A Home Office Post Mortem took place this morning.
