Two men remain in hospital in a serious but stable condition following an acid attack in an east London club.

At least 12 people suffered burns after a man sprayed a corrosive substance over revellers in the Mangle E8 club in Hackney. At least 600 people were evacuated.

Roads were closed as emergency services rushed to the scene in the early hours of Monday morning.

Former Tottenham footballer Jamie O'Hara blasted the "sick act of violence" on Twitter after revealing his cousin had been injured in the attack.

A number of members of ITV reality show The Only Way Is Essex were at the venue at the time of the attack, and were also removed.

No arrests have yet been made as police continue to investigate the incident.
