'UK always get its knickers in a twist' - Beast from the East is mocked online

The Beast from the East has hit the UK

Tuesday, February 27, 2018

The Beast from the East has arrived in the UK, but some are mocking what they think is an overreaction to winter weather.

Travel has been disrupted today (February 27) due to snow and freezing conditions, according to The Telegraph.

Many schools have also been closed and the Met Office has issued an amber warning for snow until midday in the South East, East Midlands and North East of England.

A yellow warning has been issued for the majority of the UK until midnight as it is predicted around 4 inches of snow will fall across the country.

Despite the severe warnings many on Twitter are making light of the subject by making jokes about the UK's poor response to snow.

Some have claimed we "get our knickers in a twist" whilst others have said reports make it sound like the world is about to end.
