The UK Government is probably researching UFOs, but using a different term in its studies, according to a former UFO investigator.
The US Department of Defence has admitted to funding a secret $22 million (£15 million) programme which researches potential UFOs. It has also discovered materials which have "amazing properties" that are currently being researched.
Nick Pope, a former UFO investigator for the UK Government, told James Whale and Ash: "I would be very surprised if someone, somewhere in the British government isn’t still looking at this, [although] they probably don’t use the term UFO."
He explained "this story is a huge big deal [because] for years the US government had said constantly and very specifically we are not investigating UFOs any more" so conspiracy theorists have finally been proved right.
"On occasions the US Government has almost promoted belief in UFOs to hide spy planes and drones and stealth fighters and things like that," Pope continued. "I don't think that’s what's going on here for a number of reasons."
But he claimed the biggest question about this story now is "did the President know" about the project and did other Presidents know?
Pope thinks "science is getting to the point with things like radio astronomy" may allow us to discover life in space in his lifetime, but "because of the distances involved of interstellar travel are so vast that you just can't get here from there."
