Ousted Ukip leader Henry Bolton has refused to rule out standing for election again - but struggled to clarify whether he would be happy to serve uinder Nigel Farage.
Bolton was removed as Ukip leader over the weekend, following weeks of criticism sparked by racist messages from his former girlfriend Jo Marney.
Speaking to James Whale on talkRADIO, Bolton said he wants to keep his options open regarding a future leadership challenge, although he worries that the party will "lurch to the right" now that he is gone, and this will make it "less and less significant."
However he was less forthright when discussing the idea of working for Farage, should he opt to return as Ukip leader, eventually saying that he would be happy to do so - although he doubts that Farage would be willing to come back.
He also denied that he is engaged to Marney, although he wouldn't say whether or not he is dating her again.
