On the eve of the US election, political expert Dr Simon Radford has spoken to talkRADIO about what's likely to happen - and suggested the Republican party must change its tactics next time round.
With polls suggesting Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton is likely to win, Dr Radford told Julia Hartley-Brewer that the Republicans must not repeat the mistakes they've made this time. In particular, they must avoid focusing too narrowly on 'angry white' voters and court a wider slice of the electorate.
The academic also echoed the thoughts of many commentators in saying that any candidate but Trump would have beaten Hillary Clinton, suggesting that the Republicans chose the wrong man to fight this election.
