If you think you've seen some truly awful parking, you might want to think again once you hear about what a van driver in Paris did yesterday (November 8).

A white van ended up parked on the steps of a Metro station leaving two people with minor injuries, according to The Local.

Paris media claim the incident happened at roughly 1pm local time at the Corentin Cariou Metro station.

Although photos of the scene look like it’s a case of terrible parking, reports claim it is likely the driver lost control of the van.

However, Le Parisien claims the van had originally been left on the pavement, but because the handbrake was not on it rolled down the steps.

Police said that the incident was "not malevolent".

It seems like this is almost a regular occurrence in France as on Monday (November 6) a car was driven down the steps of a Metro station in Toulouse. It's thought the driver believed they were entering a car park.
