Slick spy James Bond is well known for his fantastic gadgets, and now one of his watches is to be auctioned off in suitably glamorous Monte Carlo.
A specially adapted Rolex, which was made for actor George Lazenby in the 1969 Bond film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, is being put up for auction and is expected to fetch more than £170,000.
The watch will be sold alongside the original invoice and a handwritten note from Swiss jewellers Bucherer saying "This is the watch for James Bond".
While Lazenby, who played 007 just the once, may have discovered a Licence To Sell, he is just the latest star to raise funds through a high-profile auction.
