Lib Dem grandee Vince Cable has admitted he thinks the Conservatives will win the general election.
Tim Farron's party have talked up their chances ahead of the June 8 vote, suggesting their opposition to a hard Brexit will chime with the British public.
But Cable, who served as a minister in the coalition government between 2010 and 2015, broke ranks at last night's SunTalks debate, hosted by The Sun and talkRADIO.
While lamenting Theresa May's "control freakery" and refusal to engage with the public, Cable said the Tories will "probably win" next week. You can hear the clip above.
Cable was appearing alongside Boris Johnson, Emily Thornberry and UKIP's Patrick O'Flynn in a heavyweight debate hosted by Julia Hartley-Brewer. Stay tuned for highlights on talkradio.co.uk.
