North Korea has released a video of the ballistic missile test it carried out on Sunday (February 12).
The launch was supervised by leader Kim Jong-un, the BBC reported. The device was fired into the Sea of Japan.
State news agency KCNA described the missile as a "surface-to-surface medium-to-long-range ballistic missile."
The agency added that this missile is a new version of a device which was test-fired in August 2016 from a submarine.
North Korea has also claimed the missile could be tipped with a nuclear warhead, however most analysts have said it is unlikely the hermit state has this technology yet, though it could happen in future.
This missile test has been widely condemned and South Korea's defence ministry claimed it was meant to test the response of Donald Trump.
South Korea, Japan and America have now requested a United Nations Security Council meeting to discuss the missile test.
