TV presenter Rick Edwards came into the talkRADIO studios this morning (Thursday) to chat with Paul Ross about the second series of his popular show Safeword.
The presenter, best-known for his work on Channel 4 and with the BBC's Free Speech, has been fronting Safeword alongside comedian Katherine Ryan since 2015.
The programme tests the endurance of celebrities being 'roasted' by a team of comedians. Guests have a 'safeword' they can use to opt out at any given point. It has grown from strength to strength with celebrity appearances from the likes of Louis Walsh, Joey Essex and Joe Swash.
"It's divided up into rounds, and it's competitive," Rick told Paul. "The first round is where we hijack the celebrity's social media accounts.
"We see how far we can push it. The lawyer is having the worst time, because we're pushing things far enough to try to upset the celebrity, and the lawyer starts to get upset [too]."
Edwards even demonstrated what you might see from the compromised celebrities' accounts by 'hijacking' himself, watch here to see how:
Safeword airs tonight on ITV2 at 10pm, with guests Brian McFadden and Stacey Solomon.
