Julia Hartley-Brewer has said that the UK is giving into terrorism and we must act against it and not accept it as part of daily life.

The talkRADIO presenter made the comments after a suicide bomber killed at least 22 people at Manchester Arena last night. Our mid-morning host revealed that she had taken her own daughter to an Ariana Grande concert recently.

Julia said: "I refuse to accept that children and mums and dads should risk being killed at a pop concert because we think we can't handle this."

Instead of trotting out "the usual platitudes", Julia said it's time politicians told us what they plan to do to protect us.

"Maybe [terrorists] shouldn't be on our streets," Julia said. "Maybe we should be identifying who these people are. Maybe something should be done.

"When we sit back and light our candles and we send our little platitudes online... I think that we are giving into the terrorists."
