The police victim of the Westminster terror attack, PC Keith Palmer, had been laid to rest with a full police funeral.

The 48-year-old was fatally stabbed by Khalid Masood as he prevented the attacker from entering the Palace of Westminster.

Palmer's coffin was taken from Westminster - where it was laid to rest overnight at the permission of the Queen in an honour normally reserved for heads of state - to Southwark Cathedral, where the funeral took place.

Thousands of police officers from around the country filled the streets around the cathedral as a honour to PC Palmer.

In addition to PC Palmer, four others - Andreea Cristea, Leslie Rhodes, Aysha Frade, and Kurt Cochran - died and dozens were injured after Masood ploughed his car into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge.
