Andrew Gwynne MP has said the list of allegations against Tory MPs and subsequent 'sex pest' scandal represents "a plague" on all political parties.
As the furore unfolded, Sir Michael Fallon resigned as Defence Secretary on Wednesday and a Cabinet inquiry into allegations against Damian Green has been ordered.
Meanwhile, MP Kelvin Hopkins was suspended from the Labour Party on Friday over claims regarding his behaviour to a young activist.
Andrew Gwynne, who represents the constituency of Denton and Reddish, said the list and allegations was something which affected all political parties.
He told Julia Hartley-Brewer: "The vast majority of Parliament and MP staff are here to work.
"They take their roles seriously and do their jobs across all political parties very well.
"I think what we’ve got here in the list is a mix of inappropriate behaviour, salacious gossip and some of it is seemingly incorrect as well.
"It’s a plague on all our houses."
