What Donald Trump tweeted last night: Justin Trudeau, cabinet announcements and women in work

The president wasn't as active as previously

When the rest of us are sleeping, Donald Trump is up and about, working away and more importantly - tweeting.

Yesterday may have been a quieter Twitter day than normal for the US President, which is understandable - he had quite a lot of engagements yesterday, notably meeting the prime minister of Canada.

But he still had time to rattle off a few 140-character blasts. Naturally he found time to chronicle his amazing achievements during the day, and make some important announcements - notably the promotion of Steve Mnuchin - nicknamed the 'foreclosure king' for attempting to remove families from their homes during his time as the head of bank OneWest - to the position of Treasury Secretary.

He also announced Dr. David Shulkin as the new Secretary for Veteran Affairs - and announced the news with a typical piece of bullish patriotism.
