Who was that lone Trump supporter among the protesters?

A Donald Trump supporter appeared at an anti-Trump rally on Friday to offer his backing to the US President.

Augustine Obodo was snapped on talkRADIO’s Twitter wearing a Make America Great Again hat amongst anti-Trump supporters.

Mr Obodo, Founder of Friends Of Trump UK, was at Parliament Square to watch the giant Trump Baby take flight.

Speaking to talkRADIO, Mr Obodo said: “It’s not unusual for me to support Trump. If you’re a transparent person you stand with truth and justice, then you stand with Trump.

“When Trump declared he was going to run for presidency, his message has not changed.”

Trump’s controversial flight ban on some Muslim nations was condemned by many world leaders, but Mr Obodo supports his decision.

“I like his message, and he sticks to message, I like all of his policies.”

“Thank you very much,” he said about the ban.

“It’ a pity the dishonest media haven’t been reporting this before, Obama did the same thing but it was not the reported by the media. Obama banned over ten countries and it wasn’t reported, Trump just banned a few and then wah wah wah wah wah, that’s not fair.”

When asked about the blimp, the pro-Trump supporter condemned it and even called for Prime Minister Theresa May to step down.

“it’s a national disaster,” he said.

“The UK is a commonwealth nation and May should not have allowed this to happen because we have a special relationship with America - they’re our closest allies… they’re our friends.

“It’s time for May to step down as Prime Minister, if Cameron was still here that blimp would not have happened.”

Donald Trump was quick to retract his criticism of Mrs May’s Brexit plans today at Chequers after he initially slammed her Brexit plans in an interview for The Sun.

Many MPs accused the President of ‘meddling’ in British politics over Brexit, but Mr Obodo thinks the opposite.

“As friends, it’s not meddling on UK affairs.

“It’s time for May she hasn’t got a clue on how to get us out. We voted out. I am pro-exit, we are standing firm for the British people. Trump is not meddling, he’s just suggesting.”
