Six people have been arrested in India after a woman claimed she'd been gang-raped by 23 men earlier this month.
The 28-year-old claims she was waiting to be picked up near the Khatu Shyamji temple to go to Bikaner city, when a camper van stopped and two men spoke to her.
She claims to have told them she didn't want to go with them to the city and she would wait, but they forced her into the vehicle and covered her mouth, according to The Indian Express.
The woman claims she was then raped by the men, who then informed six others about her who also raped her, before she was allegedly taken to an office where more men abused her.
She firstly told police that 23 men had raped her but later when appearing before a magistrate she claimed there were only eight men who attacked her.
Two of the six men arrested were identified by the woman herself.
Bikaner SP Sawai Singh Godara has said some of the alleged rapists claim they were with the woman as they understood her to be a sex worker.
Godara added that authorities are working to verify claims.
