A woman has died after she was hit by a train in what emergency services have described as a "tragic accident."
Police and ambulance services were called to Barnt Green station in Worcestershire at around 6.55am on Thursday (February 9).
A woman was found with serious injuries and was confirmed dead at the scene, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.
A spokesperson for the service said medics found a woman with serious injuries and she was confirmed dead at the scene.
The train which hit the woman was travelling from Worcester to Birmingham New Street. British Transport Police are now investigating the incident.
A police spokesman said: "The death is not believed to be suspicious at this time. A file will be prepared for the coroner."
Train services between Bromsgrove, Birmingham and Lichfield Trent Valley were affected as a result of the incident.
London Midland has urged passengers to check their journeys before travelling.
