Police have launched an appeal to find the man who committed the offence

Officers have launched an investigation following a serious sexual assault against a woman at South Ealing underground station.

The incident happened on Sunday October 22 between the hours of 2.30am and 3.30am.

A 28-year-old woman was sexually assaulted by a man whilst on the Piccadilly line platform.

Officers have now released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident as he may have information which could help the investigation. The image can be seen here.

They would also like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time or to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

Detective sergeant Paddy Kerr said: “The woman is being cared for supported by specialist officers as the investigation progresses. I would like to speak urgently to anyone who knows the man in the CCTV image or to anyone who knows anything about the incident.
